Frequently Asked Questions

About Moto V2

What is Moto V2 Adventure?

Moto V2 Adventure is a rider-led motorcycle touring company offering thoughtfully designed rides across some of the world’s most rewarding roads.

We focus on small groups, carefully chosen routes, balanced daily distances, and experiences that feel like real rides - not rushed tour packages.

What makes Moto V2 different from other motorcycle tour operators?

Moto V2 was built by riders who couldn’t find the kind of tours they wanted to ride themselves.

That means:

  • Small groups, not mass departures

  • Routes chosen for flow and enjoyment, not speed or distance

  • Thoughtful pacing with time for breaks, photos, and moments

  • Fair, transparent pricing - including genuinely minimal pillion costs

We design rides the way we’d want to ride them.

Tours & Riding Experience

What type of tours do you offer?

We currently offer:

  • Guided multi-day tours (our core focus)

  • Scenic day rides (select locations)

  • Private & custom rides for couples, friends, or private groups

Each tour is fully planned, supported, and paced for enjoyment.

How experienced do I need to be to join a tour?

Our tours are designed for confident road riders, not racers.

You should be comfortable:

  • Riding for several hours a day

  • Handling mountain roads and twisty terrain

  • Riding in changing weather conditions

Each tour page includes guidance on expected riding difficulty.

How many riders are in a group?

We intentionally keep groups small.

This allows for:

  • Flexible pacing

  • Safer riding dynamics

  • Better group cohesion

  • A more personal experience

Exact group sizes may vary by tour, but Moto V2 avoids large convoy-style riding.

How long are riding days?

Riding days are balanced and realistic, not exhausting.

We prioritise:

  • Enjoyable saddle time

  • Regular breaks

  • Scenic stops

  • Time to actually experience the destination

We choose the best roads, not the fastest ones.

Pricing & Payments

Why is Moto V2 pricing so competitive?

Moto V2 pricing reflects real value, not inflated tour packaging.

We don’t rely on:

  • Hidden add-ons

  • Forced upgrades

  • Artificial markups

Instead, we focus on what actually matters - the ride, the roads, and the experience.

Your pillion pricing seems unusually low. Why?

Because it should be.

Most operators either:

  • Discourage pillion riders, or

  • Charge close to a second rider’s fee

Moto V2 prices pillion riders based on the actual additional cost, not arbitrary markups.

It’s a deliberate choice - and something rarely seen in the motorcycle touring industry.

Adventures are better when shared.

Are there any hidden costs or surprise charges?

No.

Our pricing is intentionally transparent:

  • No surprise add-ons

  • No forced extras

  • No last-minute charges

Any inclusions and exclusions are clearly stated on each tour page.

Can I pay a deposit instead of the full amount?

Yes.

Most tours allow you to:

  • Pay a deposit to secure your spot

  • Pay the remaining balance closer to departure

Payment options and timelines are clearly outlined during booking.

Bikes & Gear

Do you provide motorcycles?

Moto V2 offers access to professionally maintained, best-in-class adventure motorcycles, selected specifically for the routes and riding conditions of each tour.

In Thailand, the 8000 Curve Odyssey includes the option of a complete BMW adventure experience, allowing riders to enjoy the journey on well-prepared BMW adventure bikes suited to long days and mountain roads.

Details on available motorcycles and options are clearly outlined on each tour page.

What type of bikes are suitable?

Our tours are designed for:

  • Adventure bikes

  • Sport-tourers

  • Comfortable road-focused motorcycles

Specific recommendations are listed on each tour page.

What riding gear do I need?

Riders are expected to bring or organise gear hire:

  • Certified helmet

  • Riding jacket and pants

  • Gloves

  • Proper riding boots

Safety gear is not optional.

Support, Safety & Logistics

Is there support during the ride?

Yes - but the support is designed to assist, not interfere.

Support may include:

  • Route guidance and daily briefings

  • On-ground coordination

  • Local assistance where required

We don’t over-manage the ride - we let it flow naturally.

What happens if the weather changes?

Motorcycling is weather-dependent, and we plan accordingly.

Routes may be:

  • Adjusted for safety

  • Re-timed if required

Flexibility is part of the adventure.

Do you provide medical or emergency support?

All tours are planned with safety in mind.

Riders are responsible for:

  • Personal travel and medical insurance
